Wow. This is only the sticks. The problem was that in 2008 we just got swamped with the highest quality shiraz we have ever had come in to the winery.

Our growers in Orange has a field day and we bought in wonderfully perfumed, rich Shiraz in perfect condition. A 20% addition of McLaren Vale Shiraz (do you see a pattern emerging) filled out the wine and a small Viognier addition lifted the nose and softened off the tannins.

I think this is a great wine, possibly the pick of the Shiraz’s to lay down for a bit.
