2010 House of Sticks Shiraz
The Sticks range is meant to be the “mid range” wines of Piggs Peake. Mid range here is still pretty significant……..
This is a real mouthful. Big ripe cherry fruit comes in from the McLaren Vale component, supported by coconutty American nut. A small addition of Shiraz from Chris Wall’s Kywarra vineyard keeps the wine under the threshold of pain and lends some elegance to the blend.
For a pretty big red, this one slips down fast.
