The 2011 Silk Purse Verdelho is typical of the Piggs Peake style. Verdelho doesn’t develop its flavours properly until later in the ripening period, so we wait until then to pick it.

We have been using the same creek side vineyard at Broke for quite a few years now and it gives lovely, tropical flavours and a rich mouthfeel. It is a dry wine which will cellar well if you are into that sort of thing.

Try it with fuller flavoured white meats and cooked seafoods.
